Small Rural Community,
Big Community Needs
FCCLA Helps Meet Needs          

Members identified needs in three major areas for the community service project this year.
     FCCLA...
          ...helps eliminate hunger
          ...helps take the "chill off"
          ...helps make the season "cheery"

The chapter hosted a food drive and collected 500 items
for the Wessington Springs Food Pantry.

The chapter hosted a supper for the Blue Bag Program
and contributed $1000 to the program.

The chapter collected 50 items of cold weather clothing
and donated them to the Wessington Springs Food Pantry.

The chapter made 40 tie blankets to donate to the local
hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and local abuse
shelter.

The chapter sponsored the community Angel Tree and
collected gifts for 30 community children.

Members sewed, stuffed and delivered Christmas
stockings to the elderly in the community.
