The Spartan Spirit Award is given by the Spartan Booster Club and recognizes an individual or individuals that support various activities that our youth in the Wessington Springs School are involved in throughout the year. This award is given in honor of Jackie Johnson and her family writes, “this award exemplifies everything that she believed and supported. There was not a school activity that she did not enjoy watching or being a part of. Even on her worst days, being able to look forward to watching a game, or listening to a concert, or anything school related, helped to brighten her spirit and stay positive. The entire Spartan community brought her so much joy and she always knew the importance of supporting the Spartans.” Individuals are nominated by people in the community that recognize the spirit and support that this award represents.
